Stretch hoods : the better way of pallet packaging

stretch hood : an alternative for shrink hoods are stretch hood ! The stretch hood is stretched with the aid of mechanical arms before to be put over  the pallet.  When the arms leave the foil it comes  back to its original format.  By doing this the pallet is perfectly wrapped !  Advantages over the traditional shrink hoods are :  lower energy consumption during packaging, a nicer look and  a ratio of more than 100 packed pallets an hour !  Another advantage is the lower investment rate than a tradional shrink installation .

For the production of stretch hood Plastic Union has installed a complete integrated and high technology extrusion line.  This line is producing day and night tubular stretch foil which is distributed everywhere in Europe!

Plastic Union stretch hood are made with extremely low tolerances : on the thickness (<3%), on the coefficient of friction both inside and outside of the hood, on the stretch ratio (up to more than 50%) and on the measures of the gussets and the roll width!  Thanks to this precision we can garantee our customers a product that allows them to pack their pallets day in day out, 7 days on 7 without any quality problem and with a maximum productivity of their packaging line !
