Stretch hood : the better way of pallet packaging

An alternative for shrink hood is stretch hood ! The stretch hood is stretched with the aid of mechanical arms before to be put over the pallet. When the arms leave the foil it comes back to its original format. By doing this the pallet is perfectly wrapped ! Advantages over the traditional shrink hoods are : lower energy consumption during packaging, a nicer look and a ratio of more than 100 packed pallets an hour ! Another advantage is the lower investment rate than a tradional shrink installation .

For the production of stretch hoods Plastic Union has installed a complete integrated and high technology extrusion line. This line is producing day and night shrink film which is distributed everywhere in Europe!
